Fantastic Four

Zannah,

You are four. FOUR! Here is what is happening in your life right now:

-You are still a great organizer/party planner/color sorting enthusiast

-No one is allowed in your "party" aka: formal dining room that is overflowing with your papers, stickers, plates, beads, napkins, and boxes. Until, the grandmas come. I have noticed that either grandma is always welcome to sit and play with you. Last night Grandma Becca was in the "party" and I tried to come in. You quickly shoo'd me away and said, "You can't come to my party. Grandma has pretty hair."

-Everyone is your friend. Today at the park, you walked over to a lady and asked if you could pet her dog. You then found a little girl and immediately said to her, "Come on, let's have some fun!"

-You pooed on the floor of my car this evening. It was rather comical. I blame myself, I talked you out of using the port-a-potty at the park earlier because that thing is nasty.

-You are still a sneaky bounder and you are often heard whispering phrases like this to Max, "Do it, do it."

-You burned the bottom of your toes recently walking across the stove. This has not deterred you from walking across the stove.

-After dad told you no to using a permanent marker, you begged me to use it. I told you that dad already said no. To which you replied, "Dad isn't here and won't know." I told you that Heavenly Father would know and you looked up and said, "No he won't, we have a roof on."

-You have started preschool and you LOVE it!

-Drawing, coloring, and making treasure maps has become a daily activity.

-You love to play Shera and Heman with Max. You two are always saving the world.

-Dad is smitten with you, he bought fingernail polish and paints your toes and fingers. You love your pretty nails. It goes against your mom's nature, maybe you two will convince me yet.

-At night, I tell you of how you came to us. And without fail, when your story is done, you ask, "And how did Maxaroo get here?" And I tell his story too.

-You freak out if someone leaves the house without getting a kiss and hug from you.

-We have asked multiple times what you want for your birthday and you always say a mirror. I asked what you are going to do with a mirror and you said, "Just look at myself."

-You never want to say the prayer. But, I insist that you say your nightly prayer and you always pray that you won't pull Littlefoot's hair, tail or squeeze her neck.

-You always ask to play with Damon, Claire, Anne and Callie. And they are the names you use when you pretend play.

What a ball of energy, determination, and excitement you are. I'm not gonna lie, you can be exasperating. (Please stop getting out of your car seat five seconds after we start driving.) But, oh how we love you. Happy Fourth Birthday Zannah Mae, I've never stopped thanking Heavenly Father for putting us together.

Oh man I sure miss you and your amazing family. Isn't it funny how Heavenly Father sends us certain children that comfort us and others that stretch and strengthen us?

Lynsey,
I love it when you post, I'll admit I check this often to see what you've wrote, it makes me laugh without fail! Hope your doing well, I miss you and think of you always. If Maggie hadn't been a Maggie I wanted to name her Lynsey after you because I can't think of anyone else I'd rather her be like. Give your Zannah a big kiss, I haven't met her yet I love her still!

One of these days I just need to call you! Hope your planning on our girls trip:)

Love you tons,
Jeannie

It's funny how we barely know Zannah, but she is easily one of my favorite little ones. She is hysterical.Any one of the items from that post would have made my day, thanks for the whole lot of them- I am set for the week.
